Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Your phone number, name (if provided), and information about the events, tickets and orders associated with your account. If you organize events, we also collect business verification details (trade licence, bank account for payouts).
2. How we use it
To operate your account, deliver tickets and entry codes, process payments, verify organizers, prevent fraud, and send the SMS messages described below and in our Terms of Service.
3. Your phone number is not shared
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your number is used only to operate your Degis account and is passed only to the SMS delivery providers we use to send you messages (for example Twilio, SMSEthiopia or AfroMessage), strictly to deliver those messages on our behalf. It is never sold or shared for any other party's advertising.
4. SMS messages
By providing your phone number you consent to receive one-time passcodes, ticket and order confirmations, entry codes, transfer notifications, and organizer updates about events you are attending.
Message frequency varies with your activity on Degis — typically a handful of messages around signing in and around each event you buy a ticket for, and none otherwise.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Supported carriers in the United States and Ethiopia are covered; we cannot guarantee delivery on every network.
5. Other sharing
We share order and ticket data with the organizer of the event you bought from, so far as needed to run their event (your name, ticket type, and check-in status — not your raw phone number beyond what they need for guest-list purposes). We share payment details with our payment processor to complete your purchase. We do not sell personal data.
6. Your choices
Reply STOP to any Degis message to opt out of SMS. You can close your account yourself from your account page — we remove your phone number, name and email and sign you out everywhere.
Records of orders stay with the organizers who sold you the ticket, without your details attached, because they need them for their own accounts and tax. Tickets you still hold stop working, so use or transfer them first. To request a copy of your data instead, email support@degistickets.com.
7. Security
Your session is protected by device- and time-bound sign-in codes. We do not store passwords. Payment details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
